Service With A Smile: Carmel Adventist College Shines At Easter Camp
Our year 10 and 12 students and parents, together with our hard-working staff, ran the Easter Camp Kitchen and Store to fundraise for our Cambodia Mission trips. The kitchen, run by Mr Fui served delicious main meals like lasagna, gourmet burgers and gluten steaks, followed by delectable desserts such as sticky date pudding and chocolate cake. Nutmeat pies, cheese triangles and nachos were crowd favourites in the camp store. An impressive selfie Lego heart was created by Mrs Kopp and Mr Brown, and a beautiful gallery wall of primary art showcased our talented students. Thank you to all those who supported our fundraising for Cambodia by purchasing from the kitchen and store.
Many of our students and staff also served in other capacities. Our Secondary Prefects, along with the school leadership team, facilitated a ‘treasure hunt’ on Sabbath afternoon for the children and Mrs Robyn Robinson created special ‘Carmel Cookies’. Mr Brydon Eaton and the school band led worship in the Teen Division.
All our volunteers worked incredibly hard, giving up their long weekends to serve our Adventist community because at Carmel Adventist College, ‘Greatness through Service’ isn’t only our motto, it’s a way of life.
