Young Royals Learn Big Lessons At Esperance Christian School

Students in Miss Pratt’s Pre-Primary and Year 1 class at Esperance Christian School have been on a unique and heartfelt journey this term. They are learning about the character and kingship of Jesus through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and spiritual reflection.

Under the theme "King Jesus," the classroom has transformed into a space where young learners explore what it means to be part of God’s royal family. Through role-play, storytelling, and creative arts, students discovered the significance of being called Princes and Princesses of the Kingdom. One of the highlights included crafting their own crowns, tangible reminders of their identity and value as children of God.

The learning deepened in Term 2 with a focus on the servant heart of Jesus. Students explored how King Jesus, despite His divine authority, humbled Himself to serve others. This lesson was brought to life during a special visit from school chaplain Pastor Ben. He shared the story of Jesus washing His disciples’ feet - an act of humility and love that left a lasting impression.

In a powerful and memorable moment, students were given the opportunity to wash one another’s feet, just as Jesus did. The experience helped them understand the values of kindness, service, and humility in a personal and meaningful way.

Miss Pratt shared, “It’s been incredibly moving to watch our students embrace these lessons, not just with their minds, but with their hearts. They’re learning that true leadership comes through service.”

Esperance Christian School continues to create a nurturing environment where students can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Learning not only about the world around them but also about the values that shape their character for life.
