STORMCo
On the 4th to 12th of July, 4 groups of a total of 75 teens and leaders, dedicated a week to go and serve the needs of 4 communities; Wiluna, Meekatharra/Karalundi, Cue, and Mullewa. Starting each day with a kids club, serving the kids for the community through an interactive program filled with singing, drama and story-telling, puppets and quizzes, crafts and face painting, sports and games; has left an imprint of joy, friendship and fun for each child.
Our STORMCo teams would also run community BBQs and community service projects such as, assisting Community Service in set ups for NAIDOC Week, yard clean ups, rubbish runs, gardening, school clean ups, tidying up community centres and museums, visits to hospitals and assisting in other needs of the community. Our STORMCo presence has been an impact for over 10 years of building and growing the relationship between these communities. STORMCo is a service initiative for our teens and leaders to adopt, and be a friend to, a community; no hidden agenda, no return expectations, no fear, just love in action through service.
