Armadale Church Gives Birth to Piara Waters Church Plant

Over the past several years God has been blessing the faithfulness of His church at Armadale. Throughout 2024, the church faced the challenge of running out of room for people to join us in worship. The church leadership grappled with the challenge of what could be done to make more room available so that we could continue to welcome new people and make disciples as God intends.

Through much prayer and discussion, the church met in March of 2024 and made the decision that we would attempt to plant another congregation in the surrounding suburbs of Piara Waters. That area already had a large group of members who would travel to Armadale on Sabbath. On September 7th of last year, we had our official farewell and prayer for our core church planting group. On the 14th of September, we met for the first time away from our Mother Church.

Since that time our new Piara Waters group has faced challenges of establishing themselves as a group, having a stable location to meet in and meeting the needs of the community. Several of the highlights so far have included giving out gift bags to the community as we surveyed them on their needs, an all-night prayer vigil, celebrating our first communion service and our ‘church in the park’ days.

Armadale and Piara Waters churches continue to support each other through various ministries, prayer and combined days. We know that whilst we miss the fellowship or our brothers and sisters who are now in separate churches that we get to spend eternity together with the new people who come to accept Jesus
