Inspire the Lioness weekend at Mornington

Forever there has been a connection between the heart of a lioness and the heart of a woman. We have a need for connection and adventure. We love to feel capable and strong; to love and nurture; to achieve and to be supported; all while being lovingly protected.

Our “Inspire the Lioness weekend” at Mornington really met the needs of the women who attended. As we drove up the magnificent driveway the worries of the world faded away. We entered a space of peace serenity and indulgence.

However, the real treat was being able to spend time with so many beautiful women with such varied backgrounds. Being together in conversation or braving the showers and canoeing on the lake.

Then the meal! A team of gastronomic engineers slaved for days to spoil us with a Michelin-star quality meals.

Food for the soul was my responsibility, with two short talks about friendship. One of the key points being that of all the earthly things we invest our time and money in, our relationships are something we can take with us to heaven. How can they possibly be a waste of our time? It gives us something to think about when we say we are too busy for our friends.

Morning walks, lots of talks, high ropes and canoeing was an adventure. Most of the women were out of their comfort zones and yet so many appreciated the fellowship and activities that were shared at the “Inspire the Lioness” weekend.

What a wonderful weekend Mornington Adventure Camp provided our community. It gave us the space and opportunity to bless our family and friends and share the love of Jesus.
