Tianie’s Dedication

Something special happened on 8 October 2022: our very own Tianie Calais was dedicated into chaplaincy ministry. She recently completed a chaplaincy course with Youth Care and is now working as a school chaplain near the area of Kulikup, in Darkan, WA.

Kulikup Seventh-day Adventist Church was packed with so many family and friends that came down to celebrate with a beautiful God-centered and loving woman. It was a beautiful service. Pr Ross Craig shared an encouraging message. Neil Masters, the Youth Care Area Chaplain for the Peel Region, dedicated Tianie. Jody Walker and Donald Hort, from Carmel College Seventh-day Adventist Church, anointed her surrounded by Tianie’s large family. Through video link, Pr Miranda Leijser presented a special gift of mustard seeds. This symbolised the little acts and seeds of faith Tianie will plant in the lives of the students she ministers to, so they may grow into big trees for God.

Tianie has been a mother figure, not only to her family, but to our youth in WA over the last few years. She has been a constant at all our youth events with her big smile. She has helped with setting up, has been behind the cafés at Easter Camp, and many other youth functions. Thank you for all you do for us. We love and are proud of you as you continue to spread God’s love to your wider community in the Peel Region.
