Adventures with Jesus

Over 500 people came along to our Adventurer Camporee in October and it was fantastic. There was 211 kids between the ages of 4 to 9 years old, and they came with their parents and other family members. There was a lot of energy from the kids, and a lot of creativity from the leaders.

One of our highlights was having all the kids and adults singing ‘Jesus Loves Me’ with no music. Just simple hearts singing praise to God at the top of their lungs.

Our theme was ‘Adventure with Jesus’. We heard stories about Jesus’ birth, temple visit, baptism, disciples, death and resurrection. A teenager dressed up as Jesus and looked so much like our image of Him that many of the kids asked their leaders if it was actually Jesus in real life.

A 4 year old Adventurer, from Livingston’s club, was so engaged with the story of Jesus and His disciples that in the evening she retold the story to everyone. She told it repeatedly until her dad said after the fourth re-telling, it was time for bed.

We’d like to thank all of our club leaders and their helpers for all of the time, creativity, patience and energy that you put into serving our kids and teaching them about Jesus!
