79th Western Australian Constituency Meeting
On the weekend of 13-14 September 2025, our Western Australian Conference had representatives from our churches gather at the Landsdale Christian School for our 79th Constituency Meeting (sometimes called a Session). It is at these meetings, held once every four years, that decisions are made by representatives elected by our churches, that shape the future of our mission in Western Australia. The election of Executive Officers (President, Conference Secretary, and Chief Financial Officer), our governing Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, and Appointments Committee was completed. A quick thank you to each of the people who have served faithfully and capably on each of the Committees and Boards over the past four years. The Constituency Meeting is also a forum to discuss and vote on items that pertain to the work across our region.
The Constituency Meeting also provided an opportunity to hear about how the work of God is progressing around WA.
Some of the highlights from the past four years included:
A total of 605 people made decisions through Baptism and Profession of Faith to join our movement.
We have been able to welcome Perth Samoan, Hedland and Southern Perth Karen Churches into our sisterhood of churches.
In our Schools company we have had significant expanded enrolments and buildings at Victoria Park and Landsdale schools.
Our campgrounds have seen the ongoing development of Mornington and increased focus on mission at all our sites.
Our Aged Care company has seen expanded facilities and increased capacity allowing us more people that can be ministered to.
We have also seen several new church plants begin their journey in our region.
A weekend Constituency Meeting does not just happen out of thin air, it is the culmination of many people and years of hard work. Thank you to all of the delegates, who read lots of material, prayerfully thought through the documentation, and participated in discussions. Thank you to those who shared stories and testimonies of how God is working across WA. Thank you to the small army of people who helped arrange parking, registration, voting packs, the equipment at the venue and the countless details that most of us missed. We also acknowledge and thank Landsdale Christian School for hosting us this year.
A special thank you to our departing Executive Officers who have capably and admirably helped administer our Western Australian Conference and its mission. Without your diligence, effort and expertise our Conference would be in a very different position. We did thank and acknowledge them at our Constituency Meeting, but we also do so here publicly โ Thank you Pr Steve Goods, Pr Brad Thomas, and Mr Graeme Drinkall. We appreciate all that you have contributed.
Finally, we thank all of our churches and the people who also work for each of our three companies (Church, Schools, and Aged Care). Your faithfulness to all aspects of stewardship makes this Conference what it is. Your stewardship of influence as you minister to people in your sphere of community. Your stewardship of finances as you give generously and spend appropriately to help fund the mission of God. Your stewardship of time and energy as you serve the community. It is a shared mission to Bring Hope that unites our sisterhood of churches here in WA.
