Where has the seed landed?
Jesus told a story about a sower scattering the same seed on four kinds of ground: a hard path, rocky soil, thorny soil, and good soil (Mark 4:3–20). The seed never changes. What changes is the soil it falls on.
This is a short, prayerful way to think through where someone in your life might be right now: a friend, neighbour, colleague, or family member you talk to, pray for, or hope to share your faith with.
This isn’t a verdict on anyone’s soul. Only God fully sees a heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Soil changes: rocky ground today can become good soil next year, and the reverse is also true. Use what this shows you to shape how you pray and how you love this person well, never to write them off, and never to share the result with them.
