Saung Soe

Serving God and His church as a volunteer church plant leader and Layman for 13 years since I moved to Australia in 2009, I am humbled to receive the call for full time ministry starting in 2023. My calling to ministry is obvious and constant but it took about 40 years of preparation. My life is a testimony that God is good and He leads me along the way and in His time, He makes all things beautiful. Even though I trained to be a minister I ended up working as a school teacher in two seminaries for almost a decade. If I had refused the calling of God to work as a teacher, I would never be here and able to serve God in this beautiful country. I was born with a passion to serve God. I always search for opportunities to share Jesus with others wherever I am. Jesus is the only reason I live and He is my hope and future. My hope and goal in ministry is to see God’s churches thriving and changing lives, by reflecting Christ’s character in the lives of believers.

Tony Moala

My name is Tony Moala, I have been married to Ann for 28 years. My heritage is Tongan, and Ann was born to Samoan parents in Auckland, New Zealand. Ann is a Registered Nurse.

Ann and I have been blessed with two children, Drusilla and Desmond. They are young adults now and are staying behind at Baranduda, Victoria. Our daughter recently married Cedric Peniata, the current chaplain at Border Christian College, which brought a 25% increase to our family numbers.

I have been a minister for over 17 years in the South New South Wales Conference since graduating from Avondale University.

My passion is to work together with local churches in leading people to Christ and to help our denomination become a movement again.

We enjoy walking in the great outdoor and spending time with family and friends.

We serve a mighty, faithful God, who we fall in love with more and more every day.

Aguer Dut

I was born in Sudan and came to Australia when I was about 6 years old. I was blessed to attend Prescott Primary Northern and Prescott College in Adelaide, which is where I found my love for basketball and for Jesus. It was through school Stormco trips that I discovered a passion for ministry and started to feel God calling me to study Ministry and Theology at Avondale, to become a church pastor.

I met my beautiful wife at Avondale, and married in February of 2022. I am passionate about community, leading people to Christ and seeing their lives transformed as a result. We’re looking forward to growing closer to Jesus alongside you all!

Andy Litchfield

I was born in California, and I grew up on a farm in British Columbia, Canada. It was my music that pathed the way for Ministry in Australia, 17 years ago. I have worked as a Youth Director with the Queensland Conference and as a local church Pastor in Bundaberg, Mildura, Portland and now Mandurah. My ministry has also extended beyond Australia’s borders to Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu from time to time as a guest speaker. 16 years ago, I married Terry. This merger of two people later in life means together we have a big family, 6 children, 9 grandchildren, two dogs and six birds all of which is glued together by our love of God.

Ben Townson

Thank you for welcoming us to the Western-Australian Conference. WA is home to me as I grew up in Greenwood for 20 years before heading to Cooranbong to study Theology at Avondale. It was at the Entrance Seventh-day Adventist Church where I met my wife and life partner Mary-Jane who comes from Mauritius and grew up on the central coast of South New South Wales. We have three children Brielle (16) Makaylah (14) and Marielle (11) who love music, animals, the beach and all things sports. Jane and I began our ministry journey in Bendigo, Victoria and continued to move around the country until finding ourselves here in Merredin. It is good to be back after such a long time away to visit my Dad in Perth and brother in Esperance. A new experience for my family, however the Merredin district is making us feel very loved and at home. Looking forward to getting to know you all and advancing the kingdom of God in WA.
