Heaven Rejoices: Clarkson Welcomes Eleven New Members

There was joy among the heavenly hosts - and in the hearts of the congregation at Clarkson Seventh-day Adventist Church - on Sabbath, 15 February 2025, as eleven individuals publicly declared their commitment to Jesus Christ through baptism.

Clare Carter, Abbas Sadique, Charlie Carter, Bill & Joan Carter, Heraldo & Indianna Uribe, Kim Rida, Kelly-Ann Scheepers, Annetjie Burger, and Ania Long entered the waters of baptism, joyfully proclaiming their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The baptisms were officiated by Pastor Geoffrey Plewright and Elder Tony Di Florio. These baptisms were the result of prayerful dedication and consistent Bible study. Over the past year, Senior Elder Desiree Geldart, along with Elders Tony Di Florio, Henry Anyona, and Breneke Steyl, faithfully guided the candidates through deep spiritual preparation. They walked alongside them as they grew in understanding and love for God’s Word.

The entire church family warmly welcomed the 11 into fellowship, celebrating this significant step in their spiritual journey. Smiles, hugs, and tears of joy filled the sanctuary as members embraced their new brothers and sisters in Christ.

The service concluded with a joyful basket lunch and heartfelt fellowship- an expression of unity, love, and gratitude for God's saving grace.

It was a Sabbath that reminded all who were present of the mission of the church: to nurture faith, share the gospel, and support each other in walking with Christ.

We give praise to the Lord for His love and the enabling power of the Holy Spirit, working through His people to bring more souls into the kingdom. May each of these new members continue to grow in faith, strengthened by the support of their church family. May their witness shine for those seeking hope in Jesus.
