Divine Appointments

Miracles still happen. Divine appointments are given to us continuously. As we hear the voice of God and respond, we become channels of His redeeming grace. While I was conducting evangelistic programs in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, I met a young Sudanese man who was visiting from the US. He had been sponsored to go and train as a doctor. He asked me whether I knew a person in Australia. I told him Australia is a big country. He then said she lived in Perth. He gave me her details and asked if would I be able to contact her when I returned home. Yes, for sure! When I returned home to Perth I called her. She usually doesn’t answer calls from unknown numbers but this day she did. She was delighted to hear about her sponsored friend. I then invited Dr Alex Boyd to an outreach program just starting at Rivervale Church Plant that very weekend. She was thrilled by the presentations and after 40 years away from God she reconnected and was rebaptized. She has been a faithful follower since. Praise God for His providential leading and His perfect timing. Everything just fit together like a puzzle. May we enjoy the privileges that God wants us to experience as we make ourselves available to His promptings and be His channels of grace and mercy.
