Brenda goes west

Brenda Walsh with attendees at Mamarapha College meeting

“Thank you, Jesus” often burst from Brenda Walsh’s lips accompanied by a jump for joy. It was for answered prayer, for God giving her the opportunity to share Jesus and even for her birthday!

Rhonda Morcombe from Esperance sent the December Connect magazine to Brenda in USA containing Eileen Fehlberg’s “Extension of Life” story. The article also outlined Eileen’s subsequent ministry of reading Brenda’s Devotional Book “Strength for Today” live on Facebook. As the result Brenda wanted to meet Eileen and came to WA for seven days in May.

It was an action-packed week. Meetings in Bunbury, Merredin, Clarkson, Mamarapha College, Carmel Adventist Primary School, Livingston, Victoria Park & the Adventist Book Centre plus the filming of an interview by Shelley Poole, Natalie Meade and Chloe Watson.

‘Miss Brenda’ with children at Merredin Seventh-day Adventist Church

At most venues, Brenda would go to the piano and call for favourites from children and adults and with the help of local singers led a rousing singing time. Most places she told a gripping and dynamic Children’s Story with a great lesson that held the children captivated. Then she spoke direct to the hearts of the adults challenging each one to be genuine Christian, fully surrendered to Jesus, passionately praying, quick to do God’s will and intentionally sharing Jesus. She told amazing personal experiences of God putting her in the right place to lead people to Jesus and His church. They were “Thank you, Jesus” moments! She reminded us that God gives us Divine appointments we should pray, look for them and lift up Jesus. She said as we make ourselves available to be used by God, He will lift us out of our comfort zones to greater things for Him. She challenged us that if we are only staying in our comfort zones, we are not really serving Jesus, we are only serving ourselves. She warned us that it is too late to be dancing with the Devil—full commitment is needed in these closing days of earth’s history.

Brenda is President of Kid’s Club for Jesus. It is really the Christian “Netflix” for children with 1000’s of programmes for free. Google “kidstimeforjesus.org” and “brendawalsh.com”
