Anchored in Jesus
At CAC we celebrate ANCHOR Week each year. The term 'ANCHOR' is derived from Hebrews 6:19, which outlines every single person has a hope and all have freewill to decide where they choose to place it. Throughout the week we hear from real people with real stories about where and why they choose to place the hope they have in Jesus.
Here is a reflection from Isabella Foster, one of our year 10 students:
Week 2 of Term 3 at Carmel College was our ANCHOR Week of Worship. This is a designated time every morning for us to participate in worship which included both the junior, senior, and staff bands; become engaged in the progressive storyline of the drama production performed by the students and enjoy a guest speaker who came to talk to us. Each day we had a new topic, which were all under the one main theme of this year’s ANCHOR Week, ‘Better Days With Jesus’. We had the pleasure of hosting Pr Esther from Noosa Christian College and I can say on behalf of myself and my peers, we thoroughly enjoyed what she shared and were so grateful that she would give up her time to not only come over and share her passion of spreading God’s word, but also stepping into the classroom setting and answering some of our weird and wacky questions, as well as helping grow our deeper spiritual understanding.
