The Bring Hope Film Festival 2025 is here!

Do you have a story that brings hope? A message the world needs to hear? This is your chance to inspire others through the power of film.

The Bring Hope Film Festival is a creative initiative of the Discipleship Ministries Team, inviting everyday storytellers to create short films that explore what hope looks like in real life. Whether it’s the hope of Jesus, a personal testimony, a group making a difference, or a snapshot of kindness in action, your film could be what lifts someone’s spirit and points them to something greater.

Theme: Bring Hope

Your film should capture the essence of hope. You might explore:

  • What does the hope of Jesus mean to you

  • How you or someone you know brings hope to others

  • A story of transformation, resilience or everyday faith

  • A group or initiative that makes a real difference

Categories:

Narrative: Tell a story that shows hope. You can write a script, use actors and be as imaginative as you like. This is like making a short movie or drama

Documentary: Tell a true story about something or someone who brings hope. You might film a real event, interview people, or show something meaningful that happened.

Micro-short: This is for films that are 90 seconds or less. You can use any style - narrative, documentary, animation or even a creative montage - but you’ve got to keep it short and punchy. Great for younger filmmakers or quick, impactful ideas.

Prizes:

Each category will award a winner and a runner-up.

  • Winner: $1,000

    Runner-up: $500

Film Specifications:

Must be between 90 seconds to 5 minutes in length for the Narrative and Documentary categories. Micro-short films need to be 90 seconds or less.

Must clearly reflect the Bring Hope theme
