‘Following Jesus - The Light of the World’

I have a niece who is about to turn ten years old. Do you remember when you were ten? Adventurer Camporee is designed for four-nine year-olds. The average five year-old asks about 100 questions a day. With just over 200 Adventurers over a weekend, that’s around about 40,000 questions in one weekend! The curiosity, the energy, the laughter, the tears, the friendships, the meals, the worship, the games, the running around, and the running around, and the running around - it never seemed to stop.

‘Following Jesus - The Light of the World’ was this year’s theme. Chaplain SJ (Sarah-Jane Plewright) did a fantastic job telling some Bible stories about what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus today.

I want to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all of our Adventurer club leaders and helpers for the tireless effort they give and the massive amount of time they pour into our young people. Look around your church. Find someone who is not yet ten. Find out what you can learn from them today! Matthew 18:5 states, ‘Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
